Learn MoreAs the skin ages, it gradually loses collagen, elastin and fat. These are the components of the skin that give it structure, what we like to call, the scaffolding of the skin. As the levels of these components decrease, our skin becomes thinner, more lined and wrinkled with reduced volume, plumpness and fullness.
Strategically placed dermal fillers for the ageing face take the place of lost fat pads and collagen. Some even promote the production of collagen. This helps to restore the skin's volume and fill deep wrinkles, giving the face a firmer and more youthful appearance. Fillers can also be used to sculpt and contour the face, improving the overall facial balance.
There are many dermal filler brands available on the market, but Nurse Lucy uses premium range products only.

Chemical peels can be used to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, sun damage and acne scarring, resulting in smoother, softer and brighter looking skin. They do this in part by removing superficial damaged skin, but also by stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers.
Before any Chemical Peel, the most crucial step is to analyse your skin and choose a suitable chemical peel solution to address your specific skin concerns. Nurse Lucy has undergone intensive training with the masters of medical grade skincare, AlumierMD and understands how various combinations of these peels can effectively treat all Fitzpatrick skin types and conditions.
Although you will see results after one session, Nurse Lucy recommends a course of 3-6 treatments for best results. Once your skin has been assessed, she will create your bespoke treatment plan, with a focus on targeting your biggest skin concerns.

Polynucleotides are an injectable, skin-boosting, regenerative treatment that has gained popularity in recent years. Polynucleotides are made up of chains of nucleotides, which are the building blocks of DNA. When used in aesthetics, polynucleotides are typically derived from the sperm of salmon or trout and are then purified and sterilised for medical use. They are then injected into the skin to provide instant hydration and long-term bio-remodelling.
Polynucleotides have moisturising and antioxidant properties which create an optimal environment within your skin to promote the natural growth of fibroblasts, which produce collagen and elastin. They can enhance hydration, tissue elasticity and tightness and help rejuvenate the skin.
Like hyaluronic acid skin boosters, polynucleotides create dewy looking skin, adding a soft volume and hydration effect. In addition to this, polynucleotides work to boost fibroblast production, inducing tissue repair processes, reducing inflammatory processes, regulating melanogenesis and promoting hydration in the skin. Polynucleotides stimulate regeneration of the skin at the cellular level, so it takes time to be seen visually in terms of improved texture, minimised pores, and pigmentation.

Your skincare regime today will impact your overall skin appearance in the future. We understand the importance of caring for your skin at home, alongside regular in-clinic treatments.
‘See it as a trip to the dentist, you may only visit your dentist every 6 or 12 months, but you still care for your teeth by brushing them daily. The same needs to be considered for your skin.’
We offer complimentary, virtual consultations, from the comfort of your home. During these calls you will undergo a thorough skin analysis and virtual examination, highlighting specific skin concerns or whether you simply want to maintain a healthy skin.
Individuals have unique skin profiles, meaning skin types include dry, normal, combination and oily, therefore one product or skin care regimen does not suit all. Other variables also have an impact on your skin, for example, age, ethnicity and climate. As an AlumierMD skin care professional, Nurse Lucy will help determine your skin care profile based on all these factors, and provide the optimal treatment regimen for you – because you are like nobody else!
Also known as cosmeceutical skincare, medical grade skincare is skincare that is targeted to specific medical conditions and needs, such as acne or wrinkles. The concentration of active ingredients is generally greater than what you can find over the counter, and they have been tested to be effective on the skin, hence there are greater results with such skincare. Medical Grade is not readily available to purchase freely online or in your local drug store. It must be prescribed for you, by a professional.

Consultations allow practitioners to understand exactly what it is a patient is seeking treatment for, and why. Every single case is assessed individually, to understand what factors are underlying the conditions that we are hoping to treat. Our consultation process includes a comprehensive medical history assessment, skin analysis, photographic assessment, and a treatment plan. Patients are then guided through treatment options, pros, cons, and alternatives.
Many patients tell us they’ve put off booking in for treatments, because they don’t know what it is they need and that’s exactly why we’ve developed our ‘consultation’ option on the booking system.

As we age, we develop fine lines and wrinkles on our skin. Lifestyle, such as diet, sun-exposure, and skincare, alongside genetics determine how quickly we develop these lines, commonly these are noticeable in your late 20’s.
Alongside skin rejuvenation treatments, muscle relaxing treatment, using prescribed medication, can be used to relax specific muscles of the face, helping to reduce or eliminate wrinkles, particularly those that occur due to facial expressions. It is commonly the treatment of choice for forehead lines, crow’s feet, and lines between the eyebrows.
The effects of muscle relaxing treatment last between 3-6 months. Repeat treatments are required to maintain the desired effect and how often you need treatment depends on individual responses and the rate at which your body naturally breaks down the medication.

Want an injectable treatment that’s less invasive than Dermal Fillers and more effective than Medical Grade Skincare? Meet PROFHILO®.
This revolutionary treatment is especially effective at treating those areas prone to laxity and sagging like the cheeks, neck, chest and décolletage. Rather than just plumping and filling wrinkles, the slow release of Hyaluronic Acid by PROFHILO® stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, in turn improving skin tone, hydration and the appearance of fine lines.
PROFHILO® and dermal fillers work very differently. Dermal fillers do contain other biodegradable synthetic materials, causing them to be more ‘gel-like’. They are injected to enhance and augment specific areas of the face such as the lips, cheeks and jawlines. When carried out well, using the correct product(s) it does not migrate to the surrounding skin. However, as PROFHILO® is made up of 100% hyaluronic acid - a completely natural skin substance - it blends under the skin seamlessly and distributes itself to boost overall complexion, rather than staying put in one area.
A single course of PROFHILO® involves two treatment sessions four weeks/28 days apart.
